The Observatory is an

old chicken coop that

I converted into a

sliding roof.

I basically tore the

front half of the roof

off and replaced it

with a sliding roof.

The roof frames are
bolted to carriages and
they roll to the rear of the
building.

The coop was built in the
early 1900's, it is double-
walled and has a partition
in the middle, which made
it an ideal choice for my
hobby.

I designed and built
everything you will see on
the following pages, all of
this took me about 5 years.
I have been in the hobby for
about seventeen years.

The roof opens with the
help of a 1/12th
horsepower
