The Healing Rosary - Scriptural

Prayer is the root and source and mother of ten thousand blessings.
Saint John Chrysostom (347-407)

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray. O God, Who didst instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the same Spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

A great prayer for life is urgently needed, a prayer which will rise up throughout the world. Through special initiatives and in daily prayer, may an impassioned plea rise to God, the Creator and lover of life, from every Christian community, from every group and association, from every family and from the heart of every believer.”

– Pope John Paul II, The Gospel of Life (Evangelium Vitae), n. 100.

On the Crucifix

(Prayer for life by Pope John Paul II)

O Mary, bright dawn of the new world,
Mother of the living,
to you do we entrust the cause of life:
Look down, O Mother, upon the vast numbers
of babies to be born,
of the poor whose lives are made difficult,
of men and women who are victims of brutal violence,
of the elderly and the sick killed
by indifference or out of misguided mercy.
Grant that all who believe in your Son
may proclaim the Gospel of life
with honesty and love to the people of our time.
Obtain for them the grace
to accept that Gospel as a gift ever new,
the joy of celebrating it with gratitude
throughout their lives
and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely,
in order to build,
together with all people of good will,
the civilization of truth and love,
to the praise and glory of God,
the Creator and lover of life.

(~~ Pope John Paul II
Encyclical Letter "The Gospel of Life"
Given in Rome, on March 25,
the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord,
in the year 1995.)

(PRAYER TO ST. RAPHAEL)

Holy Archangel Raphael, appointed by God to guide,
protect and heal, I entrust to you all people.
You guided young Tobias on his journey and protected him
from the spirit of death which sought to destroy his life.
I ask you to protect all people from the road
which leads to physical and spiritual death,
especially those in most danger of despair and suicide.
Just as you lead Tobias by the hand,
lead them away from the sadness of addiction, to peace and joy.
O Holy Raphael, whose name means, "God has healed," bring them the Lord's healing.
Lord God, hear the prayer I make together with your faithful servant Raphael.
Amen.
